[Drama-committee] SPC Meeting / ISDA
Ahoy gang, Just left the SPC meeting, where I didn't have a whole pile to say. I brought up the subject of acquiring a key to the equipment room again, especially with the musical coming up - we're gonna be in and out of that room like jackrabbits. The resolution that we arrived on was that both the Drama Tech officer and the Music Society equipment officer will be getting a key, hopefully by the end of the week. There was talk of forming a SPC position of equipment officer, don't know what's gonna happen there. The music soc officer is peter.denham2@mail.dcu.ie (i think it's 2, maybe 3). There will be additional responsibility put on these two people - they will have to be available to others who need to get in to the room - I've already been contacted by gamesoc, as they are sick of keeping their stuff in an apartment on Res. We brought up the subject of the cages again, and were basicaly told to go and price cage installation and the SPC would pay for it. I think this is well worth looking into. DCU awards: 7th April, thursday. We have until Wednesday the 9th of march to sort out our nominations, all details are on the SPC website. Venue Chairs: Una Redmond and Riona have a crew coming over from England to inspect the setup and assess the damage. They are handcuffed by this crew, and have to operate to their timetable, which is a pain in the ass. They were not able to tell me whether the chairs would be fixed in time for the musical, so basically we have to start looking into plan B right now. If we have to go to plan B, then at least we'll have some preparation done. There was other assorted not-very-interesting stuff, which I shall tell y'all about at the next committee meeting. ISDA: We got word back from ISDA today. You're not gonna believe it but we have been allocated a slot on Saturday 19th of March,2.30pm over at UCD. We have a get in on Friday morning. I've already spoken to Peter Denham re: sound, but he is not sure that he can do it. We can get around it though. Mark Watson gets back from Spain on the 18th, and has to work until 2pm on the 19th. WE CAN DO THIS! Now, we need to get a cheque sorted out for this and get it over to UCD. I'm sure that there's other stuff, but I've forgotten. Okies...firstly, its the spc's responcibility to sort out the cages. So long as we have the locker and the press in that room its not too big a problem for us and we dont have the time to go looking into cages for the other societies. secondly....did they say when the crew were even coming over to look at the venue cuase they were supposed to be in there today. thirdly....why isnt there someone from the spc going to have a key also as it is madness to expect two societies to go running after all the other societies when they want to get in if there are only going to be two keys!!! fourthly...woo hoo on isda! fluke-o-rama. shane, get that check into the postmobile. Is the cheque signatory forms handed in yet? Any work from Marie-Louise? We have to decide on our awards Sunday so please all try and be in weldons for 8.45 (to start at 9, get pints ordered in advance etc...) Where's wally? Good work
Nope, the signatury form hasn't been handed in yet, I left in on res this mornin. Claire + Shane, I need your signatures before I can hand it in. Any chance I can you to sign it either this evening or tomorrow afternoon? On Wed, 2 Mar 2005 15:38:26 +0000, Elaine <elaine.bannon2@mail.dcu.ie> wrote:

Good work bobert! I'm around most of the time (except wednesday afternoons and sundays) If someone else wants to take the key on wednesdays when there's something going on, then that's cool, I would ask to get it back at the end of the day tho, just to keep track. Peter Denham is also contactable at page@redbrick.dcu.ie I honestly don't have time to go looking at pricing cages for the room, so someone else will have to volunteer :) I'm totally available for that Friday morning and Saturday for ISDA too :) talk to you all later :) Claire 087 2942137
