[Drama-Committee] Issues from Monday's Meeting
Ahoy Gang, Just a few bits arising from the MONSTER meeting we had over in Weldon's last Monday... Firstly, several people have told me that they're not receiving drama-committee emails - Charlie, can you look into this, being a shiny RedBrick admin and everything...? We got a lot sorted out for semester 1 next year - and there's a lot of shit planned - we have some new initiatives and some old ones have made a welcome return (yay!) We need, on Monday next, to sort out semester 2 - I know that we touched on it briefly last week, but at that stage, everybody's attention span was comparable to that of a goldfish with alzeimhers... This meeting (6.30, Clubs and Socs) will go on as long as it has to - the last one took three-plus hours. Yuck. I wanna get outta there as fast as the rest of you, so the more concentration we put into the early stages of the meeting, the faster we get shit sorted out. The bloody musical: We are going to get Breifne (assuming he is available) to come and address the meeting BEFORE we tackle the semester 2 stuff, to discuss his ideas for producing the musical next year. The reason for this is: if we speak to Breifne at the end of the meeting, then he'll stand there waiting for us to take a vote and make a decision. Personally, I'd rather take a day or two to think about it, and then inform him of our decision. Right, so with all that in mind... Eoin, can you: 1): send an email to breifne.earley2@mail.dcu.ie asking him to come along to the meeting at 6.30pm, monday at the clubs and socs, where the drama committee would like to hear his proposals for producing the musical. Tell him that we'll listen to everything that he has to say and inform him of our decision by Wednesday. Give him a buzz at 086 8218854, after you send the email, to confirm. 2): send another email to the drama-committee, REMINDING them of the forthcoming meeting on monday. The agenda: Breifne, followed by semester 2 plans. 3): Book a room for the bloody meeting Joe M, can you fire out a final announce drama email for the year, thanking all of our members for their hard work throughout the year etc and REMINDING them to sign up for next year.... I think that's it, I'm sure that I'll think of something else about 3 nanoseconds after I send this mail... Bob -- Roibeard O Mhurcu # 54144094 CS1 Class Rep.
