Fwd: [Drama-committee] table quiz

He knows that it wasn't written in his bookings book, but they had gone ahead and paid for the bar extension (which i've found out is a pile of shit, paul told me he paid for it). So he's more willing to take their booking than ours, even though he knows that we did go in and book with him. I've just been talking to the girl on the cng committee who is organising the quiz. She the rudest person i've ever met. She's sayin that it's their quiz, they booked it, they got the bar ex,, it's seachtain na gaelge, they need the money for the ball, and no, they won't even consider letting us do anything in there on that night. I'm considering going back to the bar manager and telling him that it's a pile of shite with thier booking, cos not one of them that was there (i stopped by the table in the hub selling tickets for the ball) seemed to know who actually booked the bar. But that will just cause bad feelings Trad music are in the new bar, they're being filmed for nationwide, they've had that booked for ages, and it can't be moved. anyone got any suggestions (apart from breaking cng's kneecaps?) I'm beginning to feel that way myself. We have postponed rehearsals that night for the quiz and we cant affoard to loose another night a week later. If we take it off campus it will be crap If we have it elsewhere on campus we'd be splitting the crowd. Talk to Riona and Lorna (CMG;s rep) Say that CMG booked the bar ex and assumed it meant the bar too but they never checked. Unknowing their plans we booked the bar with bar management. The spc have paid for the bar ex, cmg have still to pay that and they're threatening not to pay if we go ahead with our quiz. They are not being co-operative and we've even tried discussing a shared venue if they'd only arrange to sit down and talk with us but they've been avoiding us. Should I cc the spc on this mail?
