And Barry could you put together some kind of agenda because I dont know what will be needed. Cheers, Sinead. Committee Meeting, 24th October 2008. One Acts: -Dec said we should encourage all directors to be up to date on their one act. -Pauric will be starting workshops next week for Play in a Day. -An unnamed 1st year has a one act. It will need to be cast ASAP. Fill Monty: -A bill for 200e has arrived from a construction company. We should pay them ASAP. One Flew Over the Cuckoo?s Nest: -Being put on in AXIS, given a concession ticket. Pauric and Blaithin will try organise a trip. Lighting Desk: -It has arrived in Adams house. He thinks he has a case for it, we will need a lock as well. AOB: -Pauric needs to send the 90e away for Pillow Man. -Also, he suggested getting a professional director to do a play in the second semester. All agreed it would be a good idea but will depend on what we do with Rent. RENT: - Dec, Pauric and Ger met with Bob. They agreed that he was ok and said he would be a 6/10 director, but wouldn?t be exceptional. -We have not yet decided if we will blow all our money on a professional director and professional music director. Is it needed? -We will all look into finding directors and musical directors. Dec will ask Marie-Louise, Conor will ask Alan Keegan. Ed will get onto the Helix too. -Deadline for people will be at the next meeting which is Friday 31st at 2pm. -Production will be decided once others are asked but we all agreed that there should be a head of production and then a head of each section. (as follows) Tech and Lighting- Jay Ads and Sponsorship- Eimear and Ciara PR- John?( Barry will ask him) Web-ED Set- Head maybe Conor, who will liaise with Art Soc and get 1st years to help. Nest email will have proposition for 1st years and we will ask Art to do the same. (- We decided that we will use potential set designers and Art Soc to design and make the set for Stars. ) Auditions- Need to be done before Christmas, decided week 11 and will try and get the Venue for this. We wont have the script by then but Dec is going to Fake apply for the rights and then photocopy it. It was mentioned that Alan may have one. Choreography: Aoife Kearney was mentioned, but Sinead will ask Dance Soc too. Posters- Decided to have ?coming soon? posters around the place. Ger is asking Rebecca and friends to come over and perform and have a question section. ?A night with the West End? kind of thing??
