[Drama-Committee] Bits'n'pieces
Hey guys, I'm off to Edinburgh in the morning (wahoo!) but there's a few things I wanna run by you before I do. Bag pack so far: Friday: Joey Kavanagh Susan Doyle Conor Lynch Catherine Carr Shane Murphy (possibly) Saturday: Joey Kavanagh Susan Doyle Conor Lynch Catherine Carr(possibly. late in the evening) John Cannon (possibly) Sunday: Joey Kavanagh Conor Lynch John Cannon Bob (possibly) People who have said they'll try to come but haven't confirmed what days: Stephen Grimes, Brendan O' Rourke, Orla McGreal, Liana O' Cleirigh, Dallan McCormac Guys and Dolls stuff: Shane sent me on all the financial records off the society in his posession and all the documentation relating to the musicals from the past two years. I got in touch with Josef Weinberger and finally sorted out the ticket sales record statement. We're gonna have to pay £87 sterling for each performance. We've budgeted this in the debt so no major cause for concern there. I sent back the vocal score that Conor F left in Bob'n'Eoin's apartment but unfortunately we failed to locate the piano/conductor score. The only people that would have had this would be Laura or Olga but both claim to know nothing of it's whereabouts. That'll be another £20 sterling out of our deposit. Siobhan's resignation: I'm genuinely sorry to hear that Siobhan won't be rejoining us in September but, as John has already said, in terms of her role on the committee, it's not like she's irreplacable. I think both Marko and Susan Bourke are excellent candidates for the position and I'd like to see them approached in an official capacity in relation to the vacancy. I think we should e-mail the announce-drama mailing-list early in the semester (before the freshers are added to it) and advertise the position. Personally, I would be against having freshers run for the position. Just my two cents. Ok, that's me done. Hope ye're all well, Joey
I defionately agree on the whole no fresher policy.Even if theres one outsanding fresher candidate , if we open it to one we open it to all fresheres. And we all know theses elections are about the mobs ruling. And we could end up with a total waste of space. On 20/08/06, Joey Kavanagh <joeykavanagh@gmail.com> wrote:
