[Drama-Committee] A couple of things.....
Heyup Guys, Congratulations on the work you all put into the LOAFs,in total there was around 90-100 people there,so we did a fantastic job, well done once more to Fiona,Alan and Declan. Apart from that i just got sent this email from Joey Kavanagh...... *Hello there, My name's Joey Kavanagh and I'm contacting all you committee members on behalf of the Rag Week Fundraising Committee in relation to an event we are holding in week 10. The Charity Sleepover will take place over-night in The Venue on Wednesday, the 28th of November. Tickets for the event will be €5 with all proceeds going to the Rag Week Fund. We also hope to make more money on the night by selling toasted cheese sandwiches, hot chocoalte with marshmallows and the likes. The reason that I'm contacting you all is that we are hoping to get societies to run activities on the night that attendants at the sleepover might be able to participate in. For example, we thought Style Soc might be able to run a 'pyjama fashion show', Film Soc might be able to screen a film, Juggle Soc could run a magic show, Games Soc could set up some games consoles etc. If you reckon your society would be interested in taking part in this event, we'd appreciate if you (or another representative from your committee) would come and meet us at 2pm in The Seminar Room, this Monday, the 19th of November. Have a great weekend guys, Joey* Perhaps we could do some games for it....thats the only idea i can think of -- www.dcudrama.ie
I think the charity sleepover is a great idea except for the fact that it's in Week 10, of all weeks! I can't make the meeting at 2pm on Monday 'cause I have to meet my project group at that time, but I can definitely go to the sleepover if drama are doing stuff at it. Maybe a few rounds of giants, wizards, goblins, and some of the other games from the workshops would do the job? I'm up for it anyway!
