[Drama-committee] Mailing List / Site
Hello! Sorry for my absence lately, my cold turned into a nasty chest infection, still on the old antibiotics etc. Anyway, a few notes about the mailing list and site: (1) Mailing List Any committee member can send mail to Announce-drama without my intervention. Basically, any mail from these addresses will go straight through to the members... drama@redbrick.dcu.ie coco@redbrick.dcu.ie mail@paulmay.org christopher.carroll2@mail.dcu.ie daniel.bevan2@mail.dcu.ie elaine.bannon2@mail.dcu.ie lisa.mullaney2@mail.dcu.ie lorraine.turley3@mail.dcu.ie maeve.riordan3@mail.dcu.ie margaret.mcauliffe3@mail.dcu.ie riona.judgemccormack2@mail.dcu.ie ...without the list administrator (me) needing to approve the messages. Ideally it's best to minimise the mail that goes out to the members by combining news and information into a couple (or even one) mail per week. (2) The Website The website is a bit like the list, anybody on the committe can add news and events to the site without my help. Check out http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~drama/admin/ (username:admin, password:letmein) There you'll find a simple form for adding news, just 'Title', 'Text', and 'Added By'...then click a button, and whoosh, magically news is added to the page. The events page is a bit more complicated, but you just fill in the fields you need, ignore the others...and click the button. So, if you're stuck, I'm not around, and I don't answer a mail within a few hours, you should be able to stick stuff up on the site. This should be handy if I'm sick again, or not around.
