Hello Okay, I'm getting the ball rolling on the domain registration. I need a letter from our bank manager though as a support document...who is our bank manager? Basically, if we don't want the hassle of registering a business name, then we need this: "A signed letter on headed paper from a bank manager, firm of chartered accountant(s), registered auditor(s), tax consultant(s), where the tax advisor identification number is displayed on the letterhead, or solicitor(s) confirming the association's name and legal status as an unincorporated association. In some cases, a copy of the association's constitution may be acceptable." And a copy of our constitution...on headed paper if possible. It's a pain in the hole, I know. If anybody has had any dealings with our bank manager, let me know. -------------- I've been messing around with the site a bit, I posted Medb's letter to the announce list up there, and took down the image of west-side...I'll be moving that into the productions section when I have a chance. Could somebody send me a list of productions/event that were held last year? That'd be cool. ------------- Elaine - a quick note for you (and anybody else who knows anybody involved in web hosting stuff). We need to find a DNS host, preferably one who will donate DNS hosting to us on an ongoing basis. Could you talk to anybody you know in HEAnet about this. The site is going to be hosted on Redbrick, but we need an external DNS host to point www.dcudrama.ie to Redbrick. If you could ask Colm Mac Carthaigh too...he offered to do DNS hosting too...but I'm not sure how permanent he meant. I'm working full time, so I'd appreciate it if you could try to pull some strings on this. That's all for now Paul p a u l m a y www.paulmay.org
Colmmacc sez that's fine and we can have it for as long as we need. How long are we going to buy this for and if we're going with dcudrama.whatever as opposed to drama.ie then why not go for the cheaper .com ( I personally still prefer drama.ie )

hi as said in the minutes we have to look into definate sponsorship and ease of acquiring the domain name. for those who werent there we did decide that drama.ie was not the most favoured option that dcudrama.ie was and we are sticking to this. we are keeping this domain name for as long as possible as it will be hopefully printed on t-shirts or similar medb. pain
