[Drama-committee] minutes and projector notice..
here are the minutes, a bit rushed.. note:: No projector available from audio visual for Monday. The cheapest we can get one in is for 120. is this too dear? we'll have to apply to SPC again! otherwise, we either-have it in old bar (they have one) eh????????? or dont project anything!! all in favour say ay?????
hey pet, if you contact Mark Boyle or someone from Film soc they should be able to get one for you from Jim Armstrong or anyone up in J117/118. Don't spend ?120 euro I'd say, it's not that important...The problem with having it in the old bar is that it isn't intimate enough to have the DADAs...People wouldn't be feeling our buzz, and we don't want to try and take over the bar with our antics, maybe it might seem as if we were giving ourselves awards and that might be regarded as pretentious... let's not fuel the fire! we didn't start fire it was always burning and the wheels were turning... hey you guys"" 120eur is a lot of money, however mark boyle is the man with the plan. if he believes there is no chance of a projector anywhere then lets do with out. a less techy but still effective idea is an overhead(stop that shuddering paul!!) and theyre in nearly every classroom. its an idea but its up to you guys organising it. try to get one for free, if not then majority rules. love yis and yiser doing deadly!!

Hey all Do we have a name for Arsheen's award yet? Think it should be a kind of Society vote one, like the way TCD allow all socs to vote on their Best Society Award, so that it's peers awarding one of their own. Outstanding Society Individual Of The Year? Something like that? Need to decide to get something engraved by monday. ________________________________________________________ "Everyone knows that art is not truth. Art is a lie which makes us realise truth."
I'm sorry what? Didn't know we decided that already...em is everyone in agreement? I just don't think that a DADA should be given to a person who's not even IN drama soc! There was an injustice last night but how can the DADAs fix that? They're drama awards for everything drama, don't know how we can work Arsheen into things logistically? We can't give awards to everyone who does work in DCU, if that was the case, we'd host the Clubs and Socs awards ourselves! Now you know the way e-mails can sound catty and harsh, I'm not pissed or anything just surprised that's all :0) Peace out Maggles
mags may have a point here guys, as much as i love the arsheen, it is a drama event. we'll talk about it on monday at 5 for the meeting. ok?? and congrats to everyone on a very successful night. do we have everything now>>>??? go drama!!! best society on the planet!!!!!!!! love yis all!! medb (or mags - whatever ;) )
