[Drama-committee] table quiz
howdy gang i've just got a phone call from john, the bar manager, about the table quiz on monday night. the girl from an cumann gaelach has been into him to tell him that she booked the bar and the bar extension back in february, and that it's not her fault no one put it in the bookings book. he called me to let me know that he's now going to have to take her booking, firstly because she claims that she's booked in advance, and secondly, cos they've booked the extension. He's suggesting a joint event so that no one loses face, but we won't make the money back on everything that we've spent if we have to cover our prizes, their prizes and the bar extension. Unfortunately, the new bar already has a booking that night, so we can't move over there. What i've done is provisionally book us into the bar for monday 21st of march, which is a week later. Our only other option is to share the quiz on monday night. If we do that, we have to change some of our questions and stuff tho. I'm happier to move the quiz back a week i told john i'd get back to him by the end of the day lemmie know what y'all think Claire 087 2942137

wasn't there an issue about that monday that we couldnt do it then? the cast have already been told its next monday!? If we share, what's their first prise? you'd be surprised how much money we will make if all we have to spend is the raffel prises. thats where we always made our money in the past. i still think this can raise 400+ and its good intersocs relations. are there ball tickets up for grabs? that's not a bad prise really. we'd keep the raffell ticket money they keep the table quiz money. I think it might work out pritty good as it means that there will be even more people in the bar. prizes,

I rang and said i wanted to talk about the possiblity of sharing the events and covering costs and so on, and was told i'd get a call within the next 15 minutes. i still haven't heard anything from them 087 2942137

That is such a load of bollox. I for one would like to make an official complaint about an Cumann gaelach, because aside from being a bunch of disorganised pretensios prats, they constantly stick up unstamped posters and detract from legit goings on. Can't we just tell them to fuck off and for them to do the next week? If we share a quiz with them it'll suck. Stupid questions, stupid audience that will totally clash with the unusually active Drama soc people, who have been looking forward to it for weeks. WE ALSO BOOKED THE FUCKING PLACE! The bar needs a slap, and as far as John should be concerned, *our* booking is the recorded one. The retard. We also booked in Feb, right?! Anyway, how bout the 21st or the slipper?! I'm happy with 21st, but pissed at those cumman assholes.

whats the 21st? no offical complaint will be made, they booked with paul may, its his fault. as for the posters, if they're not stamped pull them down. WE cant pull down stamped posters but we can pull down unstamped ones. thats the only difference between them. there's no rule to say that unstamped posters cant go up! Also....if the regular drama crowd turns up + the redbrick one (cause they alwyas do ) then the rest will be a small minority. we combine the questions and we make the best of a bad situation. No solution will be ideal. The slipper is another idea but we wont get the random punters who normally join in and they really make a difference. prizes,

this may sound like a crazy suggestion, but the venue is free that night? 087 2942137
ok so...clarify this for me. is the bar honaring OUR booking? pual may did not take a booking for them for any bar. who's in the new bar that night?
Here's the deal: We have two options and two options only. 1): Take down our posters and postpone the quiz by a week. 2): get in a fistfight with C na G Any feedback ?? Bob On Thu, 10 Mar 2005 14:04:49 +0000, Elaine <elaine.bannon2@mail.dcu.ie> wrote:

Fine. I am gonna write a blurb on why we should go to Prague and not, for example, Cork on our trip, and Donal says we should get the funding we asked for... Every cloud has a silver lining... Bob On Thu, 10 Mar 2005 14:59:32 +0000, Elaine <elaine.bannon2@mail.dcu.ie> wrote:
