Hi Guys! A quick update about sponsorship stuff! I was up in DCU all day on Thursday trying to ring around to my list of companies (which is at roughly 90 now)!! Most of the larger companies requested my portfolio in email form - which, sadly means I probably wont get a meeting with them (unless of course they're really impressed). The email of the re-vamped and shortened portfolio is attached. I talked to my brother in law about ways to make the portfolio better and this is what I came up with! Have a look at it! I still have a ton of people to call...but at least I got started! O2 Ireland seemed pretty genuine. The guy I spoke with was very nice and assured me that after the Ryder Cup - I could ring him and we'd have a chat about what DCU Drama is looking for in a potential sponsor! He even gave me his mobile number. I even walked around Santry chancin my arm. Lots of shops are interested in providing prizes for raffles and table quizzes (well...its a start right?) The Butchers was very interested in placing ads in programs...but I doubt he'll give us much! My best meeting of the day by far was with the new branch manager of AIB DCU!! She was very nice and assured me that AIB has a very strong tie to DCU Drama, one she wishes to keep strong! She looked at the porfolio and said she was very impressed by it. They're looking into being a main sponsor for us (which is quoted at 2,500 Euro!!!) but she has to look into her finances and check how much they can give. Shes ringing me on Wednesday. Also, I have a meeting with the manager of Redz on wednesday! All in all...the sponsorship drive is well under way - even if it is moving slowly along!
