If we're supposed to be voting, I vote yes.
I'll admit that I was initially skeptical about the level of female involvement in the show, but, having researched it a bit, I discovered that there are three decent female singing parts (Vicki, Georgie, Jeanette), as well as four smaller female singing parts (Susan, Estelle, Joanie, Pam).
Provided Jamie is committed to beefing up the female parts (the sergeant and minister could easily be turned into female parts, which would make 10 female parts and 11 male) I say "go for it".
One problem though... There's a whole song where a guy sings about the joys of being a 'big, black man'!! How are we gonna pull that off?!
Well, I suppose we could always pull a Shelly on it...
