Apologies for the lateness... I hate assignments. Happy Christmas! DCU DRAMA COMMITTEE MEETING Agenda: Monday, 15th December 2008 ? Ratification of last meeting?s minutes ? Any matters arising from the minutes ? Hoodies ? Musical Performance ? Rent piano score ? Rent developments ? Semester 2 Layout ? Christmas Party ? AOB Last meeting: -Adam went into the shop in town to get the lighting mouse, they didn?t have it but they?re going to order it for him. Hoodies: -CIAN will order the hoodies over Christmas and if there is a demand for them after the Broadway trip we can order more. Musical Performance: -This performance can be grant app-ed for. We will get 50e for every workshop, than means if we have 3 work shops we?ll get 150e and that will cover their travel expenses and then anything we make will be ours. -The venue needs to be booked for the first week of the second semester, as will a venue for the workshops (interfaith or XG14) GER will get onto music soc about a pianist, CONOR will put it in the grant app and CIAN can start promoting it. Rent Piano score: -We need to get the piano score ASAP. It will definitely be here by the 9th of January but GER should try and get onto them to get it earlier and give it to Trudy. Rent developments: -Ed and Bob are happy with the progress. Ciara is getting onto people this week about sponsorship. Cian has emailed TV3, Phantom etc and will get onto others this week aswell. -GER will hopefully be signing a contract for the Helix this week but has to ask John about the plans for the stage etc. Other Helix arrangements: -Pillowman will have 4 nights in the Helix. -Conor would like to have the Shakespeare in the Helix too so if possible the Vagina Monologues could book in with them too. If this doesn?t suit they will be on separate weeks. Semester 2: Week 1- Musical Showcase and Shakespeare auditions Week 2- Sound of Musicals (done like an open mike night) Week 3- Pillowman and Rag Week etc Week 4, 5 - Impov workshops+weekend, comedy night, strictly,and Vagina Monologues. Week 6- FREE because of Rent Week 7- RENT Week 8- Shakespeare Week 9- ISDA Fundraisers etc will slot in somewhere! Christmas Party: -CONOR will sort out presents and is trying to get a Santa suit for Ed. -Dance and Style seem to have it under control! AOB: -Shows for Broadway were decided by vote and are as follows: In the Heights, Chicago, the 39 Steps. They will be booked this week. If we cannot get one of these, we?ll replace it with Guys and Dolls or Billy Elliot. -We will have a meeting before the trip obviously. -A percentage of Pillowman will go to charity seeing as it?s on in Rag week. -EVERYONE needs to ask rich family members for sponsorsip!
