[Drama-Committee] Socs Ball Tickets, Improvised Play, Directing Workshop
Hey, Just wondering if maybe we could send out this week's announce-drama e-mail a bit early cos I'm sure the rest of ye are also being pestered by people wanting to know what the story is with the Socs Ball tickets. Maybe we should just send out a seperate one for about the Socs Ball but, whatever the case, can whoever sends it please include this: * * Auditions for One-Act Play ? Wednesday 28th October, 2pm XG01 (tbc) Anybody interested in being involved in an improvised one-act play is invited to come along to XG01 this Wednesday at 2pm *sharp* for a meeting. The show has the working-title 'The Young and The Restless on Sunset Beach Living Out the Days of Our Lives' and will pay homage to/completely rip the p*ss out of all of those cheesy American daytime soaps (evil twins, brain transplants and incest guaranteed!). All going well, the production will go forth to the 'One Act Wonder Festival' in St. Pat's later on in the semester. Those with little or no acting experience are especially welcome. Also, anyone who has no particular interest in acting but would still like to help come up with the crazy characters and ludicrous scenarios should definitely come along too. Anybody interested in being involved with the project but unable to make it on Wednesday should e-mail Joey Kavanagh - elo@dcudrama.ie or Lyndsey Fay - lyndesy.fay2@mail.dcu.ie. * * Thanks :D One last thing, is there anybody who wouldn't mind going to the directing workshop on in St. Pat's 7:00-9:30 this Tuesday? The workshop kinda clashes with 'All My Sons' rehearsals but, if nobody can make it to the workshop, I'll probably escort the DCU delegation to St. Pat's. On that note, does anybody know if there's a bus that takes you from DCU to St. Pat's? Sorry, I'm totally clueless about these things. Ok, hope y'all have a nice weekend, Joey
