[Drama-committee] Accounts & au revoir
hey all first of all hope you are all having a fab summer especially those reading this stateside. as always im doing my best to keep everyone up to date with accounts. at the agm i qouted an expected balance of ?7200 aprox. this was unfortunaltely an unrealistic amount as many things were not taken into consideration. the balance now stands at ?5384.03. the additional expenses werre as follows: the generator hostel which i believed to have been paid at the time but was in fact on the spc credit card and therefore had to be paid back at a cost of ?1278.51 Additional royalites to joseph weinberger for WSS at a cost of ?572.44 federal express for the delivery of scripts at ?93.60 Additional lighting expenses from WSS to liam fotzgerald lights at ?296.91 as you can clearly see this brings the balance to the figure outlined below. what i must stress and cannot do so enough is that this still makes us the wealthiest society or club on campus with a profit of over ?1000 on last year in a year when tickets sales and participation throughout the college was down. drama is also in a unique position of being able to charge an entry fee and has the potential to generate huge sums of money in a short space of time. anyhow its time for me to say goodbye as treasurer. it was a pleasure to work with such a dedicated team over the years and i wish only the best to the incoming committee and should you have any queries dont hesitate to ask. Thanks for all the laughs and tears. John. Winner of the Inaugural John Sullivan Make a Scene Award 2003. as i dont have breifnes no id appreciate if someone could pass it onto to me so i could pass the gauntlet. Treasurer DCU Drama National Society of the Year 2002 and again in 2003 "The last mosquito that bit me had to check into the Betty Ford clinic." Patsy, Ab Fab.
