*takes a deep breath* I'll be the first to admit that we've made a few mistakes this year. ...one of those being my agreeing to give Music Soc that 40 bucks... But having said that, there's absolutley no reason to get all bent out of shape with Music Soc. One of the reasons Drama were so successful and popular this year is because we DIDN'T gripe and bitch at other societies, we DIDN'T make winning awards our top priority, and we basically made ourselves as accessible and friendly as was humanly possible. We are DCU Drama, our mission is to provide entertainment to the masses, a good time for our members and all that jazz. Personally, as chair last year, I found it difficult to say no to other societies when they wanted to get into bed with us. The result of that was that DCU Drama got our name splashed around considerably more than we normally would have. And there's no such thing as bad publicity. There is nothing to be gained by sniping or being bitchy towards other societies - it'll give Drama a bad name, and no-one wants that. I'm not suggesting that we bend over and be everybody's bitch, BUT it's good to maintain amicable relationships with ALL other societies. So, even though I've said (in a fit of passion) earlier that Caroline Torrie's attitude is a disgrace, let's not stoop to that level.
