Hey all, RE: Siobhan- It's a shame but unfortunately inevitable. ELO should not be a First Year, that's for sure but firstly, like 2 years ago, does anyone in their present committee capacity fancy taking on the newly vacated ELO role? Therefore we could re-jig the committee slightly to accomodate Siobhan's resignation... Also, Eoin Byrne- the new SU Deputy President, has just sent an All-Students e-mail looking for volunteers to help with First Year Orientation during Orientation Week- that's Sept 18th-22nd. I would strongly urge someone from the Drama committee to do this as one can really 'big up' the society life on campus, i.e. DRAMA. I did it last year and just from Humanities, I saw many familiar faces join up on Clubs and Socs Day who I first encountered doing class talks. It's also paid work and rip-the-piss easy. I strongly recommend it- especially for Humanities and Science students. I think Catherine Carr is doing it also. Best, [eoc]
