This workshop, which covers everything from improvisation to dance, promises to be a load of laughs and all levels of ability (including none at all) are welcome, so come along! Its free in for all members but we will also be providing buckets at the workshop to collect money in aid of the Rag Week charities, so please be generous!!! 6pm, Thursday, March 1st, The Venue. See you there! ************************ Auditions for "The Extraordinary Life And Unfortunate Death Of Adam Ryan" It's got murder, it's got mystery, it's got love, sex, drugs, prostitution, and possibly the highest body count of any DCU Drama production to date. It's called 'The Extraordinary Life And Unfortunate Death Of Adam Ryan ' and it's coming to The Venue in Week 11. (Written by Alan Flanagan) We're looking for two actors (both male) who are willing to run the gamut from comedy to drama to being covered in fake blood, and we're holding auditions for these parts on Tuesday evening of this week. The broad range of characters means you're bound to find a part that suits you, and if you don't, hey, that's why they call it acting. *Tues 6pm - CG03/04* ********************************** Iago - Don't get mad... get EVIL!!! When cocky non-Venetian General Othello, elopes with the Senator's daughter Desdemona (ditsy-but-beautiful) on the same night that he promotes his (ambiguously camp) best-mate Cassio over the charming-but-ambitious Iago, he has no idea just how mad things are about to get. What ensues is a tale of passion, betrayal, revenge, deceit, lust, murder, back-stabbing, front-stabbing, jesters and bunny rabbits, with hilarious consequences. Iago is a comedic re-write of the famous Shakespearean story Othello. Written by stand-up comedian Aislinn O'Loughlin and directed by Stephen Grimes. Tickets are now available for this production that's taking place NEXT week on Mon 5th - Wed 7th of March in the Helix. Tickets are €8 (incl. booking fee) and are available either through the Helix box office or online at www.thehelix.ie. (Tickets for The Vagina Monologues, King Lear & The Full Monty are also available at the same e-mail address) Iago - Mon 5th - Wed 7th March - €8 - The Helix ***************************** Casino Night As alot of you have heard- the Casino Night takes place next (not this) Tuesday in the Hub. It's a "James Bond" black suit and tie event and promises to be one of the most entertaining events in DCU this year! All the money raised from tickets sales, gambling and sponsors goes towards the Research for Children's Cancer. Liam Printer (the bossman) is looking for helpers to give him a hand. If people could meet him in the Clubs & Socs Office in the Hub on Monday at 10am that would be great. If you are unavailable at that time but would still like to help then e-mail Liam at liam.printer@gmail.com and he'll find something for you to do! He has a variety of jobs and needs as much help as possible so if you're available then make sure to e-mail him! *************************** Agenda * Pick nominations for Best Fresher & Top 5 * Make up portofolio for best society - ISDA, update from Saturday's meeting - Thursday's workshop: buckets, poster etc -- Stephen Grimes AP2 Rep DCU Drama Chair 085 7079768 55456550
