Re: [Drama-Committee] [Drama] Week 10 Voterama '09!!!!!!!!!!
Under no circumstances should any society be campaigning on behalf of a student union candidate. Even if the committee unanimously support one candidate over another voting should be a personal choice and the drama committee does not speak on behalf of the whole society and it's extremely inappropriate.

Our candidates are: < <Al Keegan (SU President) <Alan McHale (Vice President-Campaigns and Information) <Leeann Henghan (Deputy President-Education and Welfare) <Derwin Brennan (Humanities and Social Science Conveyor) < <Two years ago Al was our Technical Officer of the Committee and he is always <there to lend a hand when work needs to be done. Al is almost always heavily <involved in the planning for every major event Drama put on, this includes <organising and building the set for each of Drama's last 3 musicals. < <Last year Alan was our Vice-Chairman of the Committee. As Vice-Chairman, <Alan took on a huge amount of work and responsibility and always handled <it <with great poise. He produced our fantastic panto this year which was a <huge success and he has played a lead in each of our last 3 musicals to <great distinction. < <Leeann has been a great drama member over the last few years, she has been <involved in several shows (Forbidden, Snowfinger and RENT) which is no mean <feet <for any person who is studying nursing! She was also a great help on this <years and last years Broadway trips taking responsibility when ever we had <a < <medical emergency (and we had several) < <In his first year at DCU, Derwin has been active in several societies <including our own he had a leading part in this years Panto, even though <he <didn't say a word! And as anyone who went on the Broadway trip this year <is <well aware-the lad can argue is way out of a paper bag! so I have no doubts <over his abilities to stand up and speak as Humanities and Social Science <Conveyor. < <I am 120% behind each and every candidate and I know that each of them could <do an outstanding job in these positions. Therefore I implore all, to get <behind them and vote! Elections take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of Next <week < <Speaking of Voting! We are now in the beginnings of looking out for new <wannabe Drama Committee Members, the roles in Drama Committee up for grabs <are: < <Chairperson - Top Dog...King Of The Hill......Sexiest Member! :-D This <position requires huge time commitment and a massive work load but is <extremely rewarding. <Vice-Chairperson - Think Chair but with more headaches! Again requires huge <time commitment and a massive work load, but also must be Chairs right hand <person and able to communicate well. <Secretary - The writer. Must organise every meeting and take mins at every <meeting also. <Treasurer - Your duty is to guard our GIANT wads of cash. <Technical Officer - Does exactly what it says on the tin, Light and Sound <for every show are your babies. <Sponsorship Officer - You must find people to add to our giant wads of cash. <External Liaison Officer - Your job is communicate with other Drama <societies in Ireland i.e Plan ISDA Festival. <Public Relations Officer - Posters Baby! It's your job to raise the profile <of the society and enable us to have a presence on campus and publicise all <our shows throughout the year <Web Master - You have to mind and update our beautiful website < <No matter what your position is, being on the Committee gives you a say in <whatever Drama does, it is a highly rewarding endeavour that everyone should <experience at least once!
