[Drama-Committee] Progress Report
Ok guys, Here's the dealio... Judges for Stars in Their Eyes: Elaine Bannon Bob Charlene Shea All of the above have agreed. Should we just have three? If we have to drop somebody I'd suggest Bob as he's hosting Whose Line the next day anyway and lives with two of the contestants. Judges for Internal festival: Marie Louise O' Donnell Possibly Cliona Casserly (former Drama chair) I've yet to ask Lisa Muldowney. I might fire out an e-mail to her now. Stars in Their Eyes cast: So far, I've had only three confirmations. Niamh Maher, Greg Fitzpatrick and Megan O' Riordan. I presume that Girls Aloud will also produce the goods so that makes a grand total of five. Louise Guyett will definitely not be taking part as she says it's too short notice. I've yet to hear back from: Kate O' Neill The Music Soc Girls Kellie Kavanagh Roisin Cooper Bridget Barcoe Dearbhla McCreesh If anybody has phone numbers for Kate O' Neill, Kellie Kavanagh or Bridget Barcoe, please forward them to me. Internal Festival: I still haven't herad from Sean Hand of Anime & Manga Soc whether or not they'll allow us to use the Seminar room on the Thursday. Conor, do you think you could follow this up? Also, a few other things we need to start thinking about... Are we having a workshop next week? How about an acting workshop of some description for the panto cast? Trophies for the festival and for Stars in Their Eyes. I can get onto Irish Rubies on Monday morning about ordering some trophies. Their prices are very reasonable. I presume we want a trophy for the first three places in Stars. What categories do we want for the internal festival? My suggestion would be to keep it simple and stick with: 'Best Director', 'Best Overall Production', 'Best Performance' and 'Best Vibes'. What they do in the OAWF is they also allow the judges to allocate three 'discretionary awards' for outstanding aspects of shows that don't fall under the above categories. Whaddaya think? Ok, I'll shut up now. Joey -- msn: joeykavanagh@gmail.com ph: 085 7322 505
