Hey all Its two weeks now until orientation week, time for us to meet up and bag some first years. Please enter the doodle what times you are available this week. [Engsoc-Committee] Trip!

Sorry to be bothering everyone with the recent spate of emails, but i've little else to be at. Was chatting to Chigozie yesterday and he mentioned a trip abroad, I had been thinking about it earlier yesterday, and I thought about a joint trip with the Aviation soc to Toulouse to the Airbus factory. Chigozie liked the idea, so I sent a message to the chair of the aviation soc to gauge interest. ( I made it clear that it was only an idea, and it wasn't anything official.) Anyway here's what we were saying - *Kilian Dolan <https://www.facebook.com/kilian.dolan>* - Hey, I was at the newcastle trip and what not. Anyway, I'm on the Engineering Soc. Committee, and we were talking about trips abroad with another guy, on facebook. Now I stress that this is very much under the table, and is nothing more than a brainstorm, and I'm asking you here, and not on emails or anything, but what would you say the aviation soceity's interest would be in organising with us, a joint trip to toulouse to the Airbus factory? Something you could look into? Or a definitly not? We just had this thought between ourselves and that we could run it with you guys. We actually looked into it last year but flights from Dublin seemed to be a big problem.. it's definitely something that we would be interested in and especially working with the engineering soc. A joint trip to Toulouse would be great if we could get reasonable prices and dates. Getting good responses so far, we're using facebook to communicate until our first meeting in Week 1. We had Toulouse down as a possible trip again for this year and now knowing we can get cheaper flights with ryanair, its something that we would love to fo! [image: smile] So anyway: They seemed all for it, it'll need more looking into, and toulouse is a big enough city so there'll be plenty to do and go to. Plus the train from Carcassonne is on a TGV line, so if we pay an extra 2 euro we can get on a TGV! It seems achieveable, and i've plenty of experience in French and booking things in French and on what to do in France, and what not, so I'm sure it'll be pretty easily organised!
