Hi guys,
I'll keep it brief. I've attached a visio file a pdf of the poster that Ian favoured last week but just now Laura and Shahad have said they liked the second design from last week. If I'm to use the second one I need to know before this evening and also I need your input as to what the wording should be as the poster is due to be submitted tomorrow. If I know soon enough I can work on it tomorrow.
*Hoodies* * * I've notified the members of the delay and one member has since replied saying he wants a refund as he is leaving for America on the 11th of June. How do we deal with this?
My interpretation of the situation is that a deposit is a deposit and it is implied that it is not refundable however we have not lived up to our claim of 6 weeks delivery time. We delayed the ordering of the hoodies due to good cause but it has contributed to the delay so some of the blame can be contributed to us. Part of me is thinking we shouldn't refund a deposit but part of me is thinking we should refund him and we could use the unwanted hoody as a spot prize in the future or during orientation week. What do you guys think?
Heres his e-mail:
"Hi Tom, I'm due to be flying out to america on the 11th for the summer and I was hoping to have the hoody before then. If this isn't possible, at this stage i'd just like to get a refund. I know this is the suppliers fault but when I put the deposit down I wasn't expecting to have to wait a few months for it to be delivered. I can't imagine that they actually have them made yet if they can't deliver them on time so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult to cancel the order. Thanks, Andrew O'Byrne White"
Regards, Tom
