Hi there, I am a DCU grad, EE 1998, and have stumbled across some interesting info. Tried to post this through your website form, but it seems to have some problems...
I'm not exactly sure what you get up to in the Engineering Society, but I'd guess, and hope that you put your excellent minds to work on various engineering projects. With this in mind, I'd like to make you aware of some revolutionary information that could change the world (the end of the austerity, and the end of ALL economic problems)
A man by the name of Stan Myers actually built a system that runs purely on untreated water, using on board electrolysis, separating the hydrogen from the water, and using it as fuel. See the You Tube vid...

If I had a garage, I would be experimenting with this. Some people are, but I haven't time to follow their progress, as I am also actively involved in campaigning against the new austerity measures. Quite a bit of information is available online, including some patents. Unfortunately, after receiving an offer of a billion dollars for this (to surpress it) and refusing to sell, he was poisoned.
I believe this could be one of the most important discoveries of the century. Because of the sensitive nature of the information, it is something that must be built, proven, and then shared with everybody possible, as widely as possible, in as short a space of time as possible. This is not a money maker. If you keep it to yourself, you are a target.
