Hi Guys!
Hope all of yee are well.
Just an email to update you on the Third Level Charity collection for Enable Ireland taking place next Tuesday the 28th. We are gonna go with the times 8am - 10am, and the meeting point will be the top of Grafton Street at St. Stephens Green. There will be a photographer there at 8am to take a photo of all the students taking part before we begin!
I have two permits at the moment and one pending (Guards are soooooo slow!) They are for Dublin 1, Dublin 2 and Dublin 4 (pending). I have maps ready for each of you and have outlined which streets we can collect one. I have a lovely pink “Engineers Week” tshirt for you also, and Enable Ireland have dropped in the buckets this evening! I will split you all into three groups depending on location (either D1, D2, or D4) and there will be one Engineers Ireland representative with you (myself, Caroline Lawlor, or Richard Wilson).
Like last year, we will come back to Engineers Ireland here on 22 Clyde Road and we will have a full Irish breakfast at about 10.30am (up to a maximum of 20 students, so that will cover the Engineering Society committee’s at least).
See here the details of the event: http://www.engineersweek.ie/events/, and Enable Ireland have proudly put the details up on their website also: http://www.enableireland.ie/events/engineers-week-2012.
Do you need me to email out students from the membership system here or do you reckon you and your committee can rope in many students to take part yourself? Don’t worry about having a crazy number, I was hoping for about 50 students in total, but then again the more the merrier!
I will be in touch later on in the week with more info, any questions – just ask!
THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH!
Julie
