Hello Ryan I am one of the instructors in DCU karate club and we would be interested in supporting the day. A few of us were at the event last year as member of the public. For the demo wed suggest we do it in a particular time slot in the afternoon or maybe two time slots or about 20 minutes duration each. DCU is part of the Irish Shotokan Institute which has 3 clubs: DCU, UCD and Tanden Karate Clubs. We have 4 senior grades (3rd Dans) so far who have confirmed they would be available that day and we will get more volunteers from accross the clubs over the next week or so. Could you confirm the time that the event starts. Hey guys, *Biggest karate event* of the year is coming right up!! *THE INTERVARSITIES!!* Fear not-its not as scary for some as it might seem! We are encouraging as many as possible to take part even if you just began this year-remem there will be *loads of beginners* the same. It will be similar to the mini-competition we held with UCD. For the more *senior grades* , there will also be categories to cater for those! Its on *Saturday 5th March in Dublin* city centre so it’ll be easy got to. *Cost €25* = this gets you entered into all events and access to the * afterparty* that night!! Great chance to meet like minded from around the country combined with a *club night out!!* Even if one wants to go and enter kata event or go along for the days craic *to watch*-more the merrier!! So lets get out there and win the club some *medals *and get ourselves well and truly on the map!!! Any other info needed, Contact me, Shane @ 0858444065 or by email. As DCU Sports Complex closes at 6.00 on Bank Holidays there will be no training on Monday next, 24 October. For anyone who is around there will be normal training on Saturday at 11.00 and on Thursday next at 7.00. Enjoy the weekend. Rea

Hey Everyone, Great first session on Thurs! Just a quick e-mail to let you all know that there will be a club meeting next Thursday after training (around 8.15pm). In it we will discuss competitions, trips away and basic organisation of the club. If you have any ideas on running the club or what you would like to happen we would be delighted to hear it.
