Some additions for our agenda on the AGM

1) The position of Treasurer is now open for nominations as Bill Hayden is standing down from the position once the AGM has been completed. Nominations for this post should be sent directly to me preferably before the AGM. At the AGM, we will second the nomination appropriately and put the nomination to a vote. Each committee member and each club representative has one vote.  The new Treasurer will be confirmed at the AGM and thereafter a message will be sent out to let all members know of the change in role.
Thanks to Bill for all the hard work over his tenure.

2) There is motion to change an article in our constitution:

a. 3 Funding and Receipts

b. 3.1 General

c. Last paragraph currently reads;

d. "Audited accounts to be presented to the Annual General Meeting"

e. With approval of the Revenue Commissioners it is proposed to amend to

f. "Accurate books of account must be kept and retained for inspection by the membership.  The accounts are to be presented as a profit and loss account at the Annual General Meeting."

g. Reasoning;  The costs incurred in presenting audited accounts would present and unnecessarily severe financial burden on an organisation of our means.

h. Note : The change in text is in draft form and final submission with be made before the AGM
