From my point of view, I have really enjoyed being Chairman. There is

Hi all, The karate club AGM will take place next Monday (4/12) after training. We would like to invite people to join the committee as we have a number of positions to be filled, especially people in first or second year. Maria (Club PRO/Equipment Officer/Safety Officer/Captain) and myself (Chairman/Webmaster) will be stepping down so that new people can take over the running of the club. We will both be around to shadow these positions for a while so that the newly appointed people can ask for our help. Ren (Club Secretary) and Carla (Club Treasurer) will hopefully be staying on. I will explain the roles on the night. The club has really come on in the last few years and we want to see this continued. We are one of the biggest, if not the biggest, marshal arts clubs in DCU. It is really important for the club that we get new people into these important posts before the outgoing people leave. This ensures that the new committee isn't thrown in at the deep end. plenty of work involved, but also alot of satisfaction. When you consider the time and effort the instructors put into teaching the classes, it only seems fair to help out in the running of the club.
