[Karateclubstudents] Competition
Hello Everybody, Hope everyone enjoyed Eddie Rockets last night. Good to get to know some of you eventually. As regards Cork. We are getting the 7am (groan) bus from City Centre on Saturday 26th November. We are meeting at the Spire at 6.30 am for those of you not familiar with West Moreland Street (departure location of bus). We will arrive in Cork around 11am. We have to be in the university by 12 oclock. Thankfully we have a guide who can take us right to the door. (Take a bow Carmel). Cork are kindly providing a short training session beforehand to warm us up. Everybody is welcome to take part in this. The competition will start around 1 o clock with kata. Again everybody can take part in this. Then there will be a break. Finally we will have the kumite section. Beginners are not allowed in this section. To compete you must have mitts and a mouth guard. I will be bringing down mitts for everybody. Then its off to drown our sorrows/celebrate, either way there will be alcohol involved. coming home People have the choice of either going home on Saturday night or else Sunday morning/afternoon. As i have told most of you already, the club does not cover your accomodation so it is up to yourselves to pay for it. I cannot stay the night so will be coming home on Saturday. Below are contact details for the Cork International Youth Hostel, which is right beside the University and recommended. They should not be busy at this time of year.
