[Karateclubstudents] Karate is back!
Hey all, Just to remind you the karate club is back in training. As usual we have classes on Mon/Wed/Sat for beginners. Even if you didn't make the grading last year your more than welcome to join us and get your belt in April. All the details are on www.dcukarate.com In other news.... 1) We will be running a competition in a couple of weeks time (Saturday 18/02/06). It would be great if as many members can turn up. It will be a friendly event and a great introduction to competitive karate. I'll forward on the details when we have them confirmed. 2) The Karate Intervarsities will be taking place on Saturday 25/02/06. We would encourage all members to compete. They are on in Galway and are always good fun. Beginners need only demonstrate their Katas, no fighting is involved. The weekend will be subsidised by the club. Please email me if you would like to attend. 3) We are looking into buying some club Hoodies. They will be approximately 25euro. If you would like one please email me with your size. 4) Clubs & Socs day part II. Clubs and Socs Day 2 is on the 15th February between 10am and 2pm (that's week 2). This is a great opportunity for you to get more members into the clubs. The registration point will be upstairs in the Clubs & Socs Office and registration fee is just €2 for the semester. Can volunteers please email me so we can man the stand for these hours? 5) Extra kumite training for the intervaristies. I would like to arrange two extra classes for kumite. One this week and next week. Would Friday at 9am suit everyone? If so I can confirm with Liam. Thanks for your time.
