Also my resignation can be accepted until such time as there is an offical EGM. This doesn't make any sense. It implies a change of state of your resignation after the EGM. Please clarify this. This doesnot imply a change of minds about my resignation. rather I have things to say before I will go idlely by. Listen, I don't want to argue grammar with you.
2. My letter of resignation is not an act of courage, courage is standing up to the truth in the face of all odds. My letter of resignation is an act of cowardess which I was forced into by Noel Hogan, David Barrett, Bart Busschots and Aidan Delany. Darragh, on the Thursday we were all pretty much convinced that you had resigned, for the good of the society, there and then. Then you decided to not resign. Then it got messy.
I feel I have been treated like shit by these people. I helped found the society and put alot of time and effort into it for the last 2 years and when a crisis arived, I was the scape goat. The good work you have put in for the society is not in question. As I explained before, this was *not* a personal attack on you; but you have to face up to the fact that the HEA net would almost certainly not want the guy who did what you did with the script to run the society again. This was not done for the purposes of removing you from office, this was done to minimise the damage taken by the society; and if you *didn't* step down I'm damn sure that none of use would get machine access back.
I will be unable to attend the UNOFFICAL EGM on Wednesday as I have a course on in UCD at 7.30pm so if you want to be cowardly have your meeting then, otherwise have it at some other time in the week so I can face up to allegations against me. I have never had a problem with you personally until Sunday, when I read this post.
Also, David Bolger and myself where in talking to Stephen Brown and James Cotter, we both explained what happened. Stephen Brown said that MiNDS> had nothing to do with it. Except for the fact that you ran it on the minds server, you used minds to inform users of the existence of the script and what it did. I'm pretty sure the Department of Computer Science is on our side, but the HEA net? The Department of Finance?
Darragh, all I've cared about is getting this society through this alive. David Barrett
