Oh, and just to remind everyone, if Dave Bolger and Darragh get too much punishment from anyone we will support them. BOTH of them.
So, let me get this straight, one minute you commit mutiny and the next minute you wish to save the captain ass to you can feel good.
Does this seem crazy do you?
I don't need your support, I don't want people around who support whatever they want one minute and change their mind the next minute. Er, Darragh, I haven't changed my mind. The society could not survive with you at it's head, but up until the point you called the meeting on Wednesday "cowardly" I had *no* major problem with you personally.
What the rest of the exec and I decided to do was *not* to harm you, it was to save the society's ass, and no matter how much I try to explain that to you, you seem to ignore it... this was NOT a personal attack on you! You deserve the same protection extended to every student in the college by the SU and fellow students. I'll get Fiachra to post the minutes of the Wednesday meeting up on this mailing list for everyone to read. Darragh, this was NEVER a personal attack on you... it was a move to distance the society from actions you undertook on the society's server... we have made enough enemies to get the server shut down, and if you stayed on as chair I'm damn sure we would not get access to our machine back; because of these enemies. We *didn't* decide to start the vote of no-confidence in you because we got pissed off with you. It was started because of the official complaint from a GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT because of a script the chair wrote and distributed. If anyone else on the committee had wrote the script that did the damage the same action would have been taken, to distance the society from their actions... not to piss you off, or not because of some stupid personal reason! You are a student of the college. If you think that the action taken against you by either the Department of Computer Science or Minds was unfair then talk to Noel Hogan/Sinead McDonagh/Brian Gormley. If you have a complaint against me or anyone else in the society I would appreciate you make that complaint formal instead of just making vague statements here. If it's formal it will have to be documented and you, as a member of the society, have a right to request that information, to show to whatever higher power you wish if you think that it was not dealt with fairly.
