What's Ju Dou?
Summary On one level, this is a Chinese re-telling of the film noir classic The Postman Always Rings Twice while on another level, itÂ’s a daring critique of contemporary China's political system. Beautiful, sumptuous and bleak, this is a carefully crafted and tender allegorical tragedy.
