Does DCU have a journalist soc, or a media soc, or a book publishing soc?
It has better than that. It has a Societies and *publications* committee, the SPC :) RedBrick can put in a grant app specifically for a publication, indeed it's pretty likely to suceed if put the right way! Especially if its in cooperation with the two publication societies.
I'm guessing there would be several societies that we could rope into helping us - they get experience / practice / publicity / CV fodder, we get what amounts to professional design at cheap rates.
Absolutely :)

Good man Brian! Well done on creating the list. Hast it been announced on the boards etc.?
On the book: great idea indeed, sure let's give it a go. Regarding publishing (which might be the most important logistical thing we need to plan ahead for) - here's a few things to think about: - legitimate publishers - who? - how long would it take to publish? - how many copies do we need? - what timescale do they need from submission to produced book? - size of book - authors of articles - structure of book - design of book
Any others, add away.
