[Redbrick-birthday] Magazine/Book perhaps?
Hi all, just regarding the magazine, I know there are a few people working on it but I a) can't quite remember them all and b) don't know if anyone has written much, so could those who ARE involved speak now, and just say whether things have been written? We need to make a start on an estimate for printing costs, and we can't do that til we have a rough size of the item :) Also we're fast running short on time to get it all printed up and ready for the event itself, and it'd be nice to not have to rush it, it's been ten years in the making, why ruin it at the last hurdle? thanks, Michelle -- 'Cause I'm just a little girl you see But there's a hell of a lot more to me Don't ever underestimate what I can do Don't ever tell me how I'm meant to be
Do you have an estimate for the date of the event? :-) I said I'd work on it, but obviously haven't - I'd be willing to write a few things this weekend though now that someone has put the boot in etc. Kp On Tue, Jan 17, 2006 at 07:32:07AM +0000, Michelle A. Graham wrote:

Yup! It's meant to be the 3rd of March, (aka friday of Techweek) so put it in your diaries! :)

Excellent, thanks Karl

Luckily for the book, this has now been moved back to the 16th of March, I hope to see everyone on here at it too (plus with Paddy's day the day after, people can have TWO days to drink!)

I hope you did those things, cus now's the time! Seriously folks, I know there was a lot of interest in this, and we'd really like to do it, however we need something to print! The current idea we're throwing around is to have a yearbook section, aided by magluby's picture gallery, with (possibly) a comment from each of the people underneath their picture. We also need your pictures, posters, tickets etc for the collage, don't forget!

I have some old (physical) tickets & stuff at home from our year which I'll bring in - and as mentioned before, singer has a load on his site! (linked from the wiki page iirc). Are you thinking of a day (e.g. sat) or evening out at DCU to put some sort of collage together? Would that be a workable idea? Kp -- Hello. I'm Leonard Nimoy. I've got some more stuff at home too.

Sounds good to me! A Saturday would be very preferable :) Brian. -- She's quite skinny, like me, but nice skinny, rollerskate skinny.

I hadn't thought of that, but it does make a lot of sense. What dates suit people? Not this weekend, but possibly next? (That's the 25th btw) Could have a proper sit down talk about this magazine/book thingiemebob before it gets too late to have it printed up Michelle -- 'Cause I'm just a little girl you see But there's a hell of a lot more to me Don't ever underestimate what I can do Don't ever tell me how I'm meant to be

Sounds good to me - and can do the 25th. Would look forward to coming out and doing a few things if it suits others as well. Kp -- Hello. I'm Leonard Nimoy.
