Re: [Redbrick-birthday] Getting started on the book
Hey, Has an editorial team been elected for the book yet? I'd be happy to book meeting rooms or get whatever is needed to co-ordinate the publication. Regards, Bernard On 6/3/05, Bernard Mckeever <dregin@gmail.com> wrote:

My only main problem with this suggestion is How do we decide who gets to be in the book? people could end up feeling snubbed etc etc. And its not like we can include everyone. Basically where would we draw the line with this?
This is assuming we have enough text + photos to fill a book. Too litttle content might be a more likely outcome than too much. I hope not, but we shouldn't discount the possibility.
Assuming we do have too much ... we need an editorial team. Plain and simple. What they say goes. It's the only way, imho, you could run this - somebody has to decide what's in, what's out. The point of contention then becomes who gets to be on the editorial team?
I suggest ppl volunteer, bearing in mind that (a) it'd help to have an idea what you're at, and (b) your decisions may be criticised. We then have a vote (shell script or whatever), leave it running for a week. Elect the editorial team, and then all agree to abide by their decisions.
