Hope everyone's staying safe during the lockdown! Due to said lockdown,
we'll be holding our AGM online through Google Meet this Saturday from 6pm
onwards! All of the committee positions (except 1st Year Rep) will be open
to election, so if you're interested in joining the committee now's the
perfect time!
Before the elections we'll be voting on proposed changes to the Gamesoc
Constitution. These changes are: Removal of the Vice-Chair position from
the committee, Removal of 1 Console Officer, 1 Tabletop Officer and 1 PC
Officer position from the committee, addition of 1 Ordinary Member position
to the committee. The proposed new constitution can be found attached to
this email!

Week 7: AGM this Monday!
*AGM this Monday!*
Due to a lack of quorum we unfortunately had to delay our AGM last week, so
instead this Monday we'll be holding Gamesoc's yearly AGM, where we'll be
electing our committee for 2020/21! It will be on from from 6pm onwards in
the Cuilin Room, the same room as Tabletop Gaming! All committee positions
will be up for election, so if there's any you've been thinking of running
for this AGM is the perfect time to run for it!

Console Gaming will be in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2-6pm! We'll
also be running a Call of Duty Tournament from 3pm onwards! Entry is €2 and
the winner will receieve a €15 One4All Voucher!
Feel free to switch the games being played on the consoles! As a heads-up,
if you're looking to take a game out of the gamesoc boxes to play, please
ask a committee member to take it out for you!
*Tabletop Gaming*
Tabletop Gaming will be on this Monday in the Cuilin Room! It'll be
starting straight after the AGM is finished and will be running until 10pm!
If there’s any board game of ours that you’re looking to play but that we
don’t have out, feel free to ask a committee member for it and we’ll be
happy to get it out for you!
*PC Gaming*
PC Gaming will be on this Tuesday from 6-10pm in KA104! We'll also be
running an Overwatch Tournament from 7pm onwards! Entry will €2 and the
winner will receive a €15 ONe4All Voucher!
Remember to bring your own laptops, headsets, mice etc. as well! While we
have a lot of PCs, we unfortunately can't provide for everyone!

Console Gaming will be in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2-6pm!
Feel free to switch the games being played on the consoles! As a heads-up,
if you're looking to take a game out of the gamesoc boxes to play, please
ask a committee member to take it out for you!

Tabletop Gaming will be on this Monday in the Cuilin Room from 5-10pm!
If there’s any board game of ours that you’re looking to play but that we

Hi everyone,
Just a notice that we will be slightly changing the positions being elected
at the AGM from the positions being filled on the current committee.
We will be removing the position of Vice-Chair from the committee.
Instead of two Officers each for Tabletop, Consoles and PCs, we will
instead have one Officer for each.
To compensate for this, we will be adding a second Ordinary Member to the
committee. Both Ordinary Members will help run events in the case of that
event's Officer not being available.
All other positions not mentioned will be elected as usual.
We look forward to seeing youse at the AGM, and good luck to everyone
planning on running for a position!

Week 5: Upcoming AGM + Science and Health Intersoc!

As we approach the midpoint of Semester 2, we're also getting closer to
Gamesoc's yearly AGM, when the current committee steps down to make way for
a brand new one! We'll be holding our AGM on Monday the 2nd March from 6pm
onwards! All committee positions will be up for election, so if there's any
you've been thinking of running for this AGM is the perfect time to run for
it!
*Science and Health Intersoc!*
This Thursday we'll be holding an intersoc with our friends over at Science
and Health Soc! It'll be taking place in XG15 and XG16 and there'll be
boardgames, videogames and Dominos Pizza all provided! Entry will be €2,
with all proceeds going to Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

Console Gaming will be in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2-6pm! We’ll
also be running a Towerfall tournament from 3pm onwards! Entry will €2 and

Week 4: Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Screening!

February 14th finally arrived, which means only one thing... the Sonic the
Hedgehog movie is finally out in cinemas! This Wednesday we'll finally get
the chance to view this masterpiece (?) in IMC Santry! We'll be meeting in
the Street in the Henry Grattan building from 5:45pm onwards and we'll be
leaving for the cinema at 6pm sharp! Tickets will be subsidised by Gamesoc,
so if you're interested in seeing it now's the perfect time!
*Console Gaming*
Console Gaming will be in the Pairc Room this Wednesday from 2-6pm! We’ll
have all our usual selection of consoles and games to pick from, so
whatever you’re looking to play we’re sure to have something to look
forward to!
