Hi folks,
Hope you all had a good wholesome Christmas/non-denominational holiday
season.
== Cinema/Pub Trip ==
As we won't be back in college properly til February, we've decided to
organise a Games Soc night out for this Friday. We'll be first going to
see Role Models (http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0430922/), starring the
delightful Paul Rudd, in Cineworld and then heading to Doyles for a few
drinks afterwards.
As the movie only opens this Friday, times don't seem to be available
for it just yet, but our plan is to head to the cinema and meet outside
at around 7pm and then on to Doyles at 9pm. We'll send another email
Friday morning withthe exact time for the cinema. For those of you who
don't know, Cineworld is located on Parnell Street and Doyles is located
on D'Olier Street, near Trinity College
(http://www.doylesintown.com/location).
Join us at the cinema or in the pub afterwards, it's sure to be a good
night.

Hey everyone,
This week is just perfect for getting you in the mood for
Christmas.
Christmas Party.
So its almost here. Christmas is almost here and what better way to get in
the mood than to come along to our Christmas Party. This is going to be
great fun, we've got Games, Raffles and Presents for everyone. To get you
even more in the mood there shall be discounts on drinks too. Also if
you're a big Comic Book fan there is gonna be a prize for the best nerdy
outfit. Its all kicking off at 8PM on Thursday upstairs in The Slipper
across the road from the Ballymun Road entrance (just in case you didn't
know). This year we've got Art Soc, Book Soc, Comic Soc, Redbrick and
ourselves so this is bound to be a great party. So show your support for
GamesSoc by coming along and having some fun. :)
Consoles
Wednesday afternoon 2pm in the Seminar room upstairs in the hub. We have
all our regular consoles back this week after last weeks retro gaming. I
think lots of fun was had by all and some heartbreak losing last lives
fighting the final boss from Streets Of Rage just a single combo from
victory! :-/ So if you've been itching for some Halo 3, Rock Band or Super
Smash Brothers Brawl then make sure you turn up on Wednesday and have some
fun on your afternoon off.
Also we'll have free refreshments for all attendees so that gotta be worth
something in these money stricken recessionary times. We are all students
after all :)
Traditional Gaming

Wednesday from 6pm in the Seminar Room, in The Hub. We have a huge
collection of all your favourite board, card and roleplaying games! So

provided as usual both nights.

all your favourite games again this week like Counter-Strike 1.6, GTA2,
TrackMania, Day of Defeat, Total Annihilation and lots of other games so
do come along and have some fun. Refreshments will be available so why not
come along and have some fun before you come to the Christmas Party.

suggest to us please don't hesitate to do so. You can mail the committee at
