Hi folks,

As some of you may know, our members have been running a series of Warhammer 40k Leagues recently. The next league is about to begin in the next few days.

A few notes on the the structure of the League itself: It is a team based League, with all players divided into the factions of Order and Disorder. Every week, the leader of both teams will declare players to attack or defend. Attacking players will be paired off with defending players on the opposite team to play their game. Players will be able to play their weekly game at GamesSoc meetings on Monday evenings and Wednesday evenings, or an alternative venue both players find suitable. The standard format for play is 500 Points Combat Patrol. In this way, players will be able to carry their armies to GamesSoc meetings or their chosen venue with little hassle. Players may agree to play their match in a different format if desired. If a player is unable to play his weekly game, he may request a team member to take his place.

I would encourage anyone interested to sign up as soon as possible, as the tournament will be getting under way during the next week.

We expect to run more leagues of this type during the year, so if you're unable to take part this time, be sure to keep a look out.
