hi all,
your friendly DCU fm programmes officer here! there will provisionally be a workshop organised next week for all those interested in DCU fm and all things radio-related! i'm not sure which day, as yet, but i will aim for wednesday afternoon seeing as all students are meant to have this time free of lectures.
there will be limited spaces for those who wish to partake in this workshop(s). the limitations include 1) availability of the labs and studio, 2) limited space within the mac labs and the studio itself and 3) michael feeney's time.
for this reason the workshops will operate on a first come first come first served basis. you will not be able to sign up for these workshops until i know more details regarding numbers of those interested and what levels of experience we will cater for and of course, a day when michael and the studio is available.
please reply to this email if you are interested in this wokshop. in it you can include what level you are at (i.e. if you have no experience therefore you are interested in an introductory workshop related to mini-disc players, stuidio and mac labs; or if have some experience and wish to be involved in a more intermediate session).
keep in mind that this will get the ball rolling for all of you out there who are interested in creating a programme for DCU fm. we want to start producing programmes straight away and if you have no experience, this is the perfect opportunity to gain some valuable training!!!
hope to hear from ye soon,
aideen finnegan DCU fm Programmes Officer.
