Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that the MPS AGM is on tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at 6.45 pm. We'll be meeting at the MPS noticeboard in Henry Grattan. The meeting is basically a summary of the past year and we'll also be electing next year's committee, so please come along and make sure the best person for the job gets in! Just briefly, huge thanks to everyone who got involved this year, DCUfm was (definitely!) the best ever, DCUtv is fantastic and Hybrid was a great success. Not to mention the trip to Cork!
Thanks a million everyone, I hope the next committee enjoys it as much as we all have!

Eh, no offence lads but the night before the broadcasting deadline isnt the smartest time to hold a meeting that lasted a good hour last year...

I'ld also like to point out that less than 24 hours notice was given for the AGM. This is less than ideal for people who have already made arrangements for this week.
I'm pretty sure the constitution says at least 3 days must be given... Maybe some one could confirm this for me...
Either way I believe the turnout will be very low as a result of lack of notice and project deadlines.
Regards

Correction: Posters about nominations have been up since last week.
Maybe this should be taken off the announcement list or something... is there a discussion list available for the MPS?

The meeting is going ahead tonight.
The committee have worked so damn hard this year between Studio 2 being dismantled and the problems that DCU TV had to overcome that arguing about the time of the meeting is fucking petty.
Just everyone go along a vote all happy like.
yours perplexingly,

hey guys
The Student O2 Media Awards are on tomorrow in Vicar Street. Because we totally kicked ass in the shortlist, we have a number of tickets available to those who were active members of the MPS this year.
Michael Harte TV Tech officer has a few spare so if you're interested in going give him a mail.
Congrats to all who got shortlisted and besta luck tomorrow. See y'all in Vicar Street.
