Hey everybody, The SPC have given us funding for 15 people to go down to warpcon. The subsidy covers con entry, 75% of the bus fare and €12 a night accommodation so the weekend will cost you around €15. Anyone who would like to go should send me a pm or email me ( dshagins@redbrick.dcu.ie ) with their name and student number. It's first come first serve so make sure you mail me early. Warpcon is held in University College Cork and is on the weekend after the exams. It is usually one of the best conventions in the country. If anyone would like a platinum ticket please mention it in your email, a platinum ticket will cost you €10 and it includes a tshirt and 4 events. If any associate members would like for STOCS to book them accommodation drop me an email and ill add you to the number of places. The wargames night was a great success (despite the cramped conditions :D ) and as such we have decided to run another but this time in a bigger venue. We have been given permission to cover some of the pool tables in the games room (down by the lockers) with wooden boards, this should give us more than enough room to play on. The wargames night will take place on Thursday and should kick off around 6.30. The regular STOCS meeting will take place as per usual, mon and wed in the seminar room at 6.30.
