Hello all. I would just like to announce my intent and willingness to run for chairperson this year. To those who may not know me, I have been very actively involved in the society for the last four years (having held the position of treasurer for almost a year and a half and the position of chairperson for a year), and in Sillicon also (I held positions as wargames coordinator, treasurer, treasurary (an impromtu amalgam of treasurer and secretary), con director and rpg and larp coordinator), so naturally I feel that I have enough experience for the position. As for why people should vote for me, I feel I am an ideal candidate for the position as I am diplomatic, reasonable and fair (stop sniggering you!) and am capable of working with a variety of individuals without letting ego or prejudice get in the way of my job. The position of chairperson requires a person with both organisation skills and people skills, and I feel that I possess both in adequet amounts to do the job. Hope to see you all at the AGM.
