David spoke about the fireball that streaked through Irish skies on Tuesday evening (see item 2). He also talked about how Jupiter is moving out of our skies and that next week's Nationwide Jupiter Watches may be your last chance to see the amazing gas giant! If you missed the show this morning, you can watch it online at www.astronomy.ie/tv. Astronomy Ireland's next show will be broadcast on February 3rd on The Morning Show. 2. Fireball Over Ireland On Tuesday evening, just after 6pm, a fireball was seen by thousands of people all over the country streaking across the evening sky. Skies were clear all over Ireland so we have already received lots of reports. If you saw the fireball on Tuesday evening, please help us determine where it may have landed by filling out a report form. We are particularly interested in any people or business who may have a CCTV camera running. Check your CCTV footage for Tuesday evening between 6pm and 6:20pm and please let us know if you have captured any video of the comet fragment. Video will allow us to make much more accurate measurements and will hopefully allow us to find any fireball fragments that may have survived! Fill out a Fireball Report Form HERE. Listen to David Moore speak about the event on radio HERE. 3.
