[Astronomy Ireland] Armagh Planetarium Trip This Saturday
Education Programme Events Membership Shop Armagh Planetarium Trip This Saturday Astronomy Ireland’s extremely popular annual day trip to Armagh Planetarium (one of the best in the world!) takes place this Saturday, November 26th. We will see their new show Ice Worlds which will explore the colder planets and moons of our Solar System, including Earth, Mars, and Titan! Exclusively for us, a Guide to the Night Sky will be shown so we can find out what to see in the night sky at this time of year, as well as learning how to find our way around the constellations. Watch a trailer of Ice Worlds on our website HERE. After the Planetarium show, David Moore will bring us on a fascinating tour through the famous Astropark, where you will begin to get a sense of just how big the Universe really is, and of the Human Orrery, where you can take part in simulating the motion of the planets using your own body! The Astronomy Ireland Shop will be open from 9am and will be serving complimentary refreshments until 10am sharp when the bus will depart for Armagh. The cost of the trip is €40 per person including admission and coach fare. For more information and to book your place visit www.astronomy.ie or call us on (01) 890 11 11.
