hi stephen, I auditioned for the panto last week but as my laptop's been on the blink and i've spent the past 4 days in hospital with a friend this is the first time ive been able to check my emails, and there is no way i'll make the singing audition tonight. Does that exclude me from the panto altogether or is there some way i can still get involved on the acting end...? Hope to hear from you shortly. Aoife

[Drama-Committee] Rocky Horror Tickets

Ok guys, We've got a hundred tickets to sell and Shea says we're not allowed to set up a stand in the Hub. We stand to make €800 if we manage to shift these tickets. Basically, tell every drama member you meet that, if they want tickets to the Hallowe'en Ball, to buy them from Drama. I also think we should flog the tickets at audtitions/rehearsals. Have we been explicitly told that we can't sell them for a cheaper price? If not, I'd advise selling them for €6 to our members. Joey

hey guys, Just so you know what the crack is with our page on life. i think eoins pretty much the only person who can approve content. But I have an Admin account so i can pretty much do anything we want with the page, The only glitch is whne you guys sumbit content never submit it as text, The problem with submitted text is that it can never be taken down. so the castlist for the murder mystery that was submitted as a text file , will be up there FOREVER>>> lol, yes i know its rediculas. I can delete the whole page but not remove that little text item. So when your submitting things like cast list , submit them as NEWS only. Ok, It looks like I'm the only person available/prepared to sell tickets at the stand tomorrow. Would it be alright if I e-mailed the drama-membership looking for volunteers to operate the stand and offer them a free ticket to the ball in exchange for two hours of their time? That'll be twelve tickets gone but, if it means we shift a lot more tickets, then I reckon it's a worth-while investment. Any thoughts? Joey

Hey guys, Just wondering what the story is with the Rocky Horror next week? Steve and Eoin, did Shea agree to us pushing the screening back to an earlier time? And what's the arrangement we have set up in terms of tickets? Are we being given 150 like last year? If so, we'll probably need to have a stand set up on Monday to sell the tickets at the discounted price. Has Jay agreed to produce it? Have the projector and second screen been booked yet? (Interrogation or what?) Also, we're gonna need to remind the Broadway people that the second instalment of €200 is due on Monday. Steve, do you want me to e-mail those people or do you want to do it yourself? Lyndsey, have we managed to source anybody to give the set-design workshop that's scheduled to go ahead next week? Apparently DLI can fund us up to €300 for workshops so I reckon that's worth checking out. I've cast my two one-acts. Maybe the cast-lists could go up on the web-site? King Lear After the success of "The Merchant of Venice" last year, this years Shakespeare will be the tragic tale of "King Lear". This is a tale of a kingdom divided between three sisters and the tragedy that follows. Directed by Barry Bracken and hopefully appearing in the Helix (fingers crossed!) this is your opportunity to get involved. Tues 6-8 in XG14 Wed 2-6 in XG14 Thur 6-8 in XG14 Rocky Horror Picture Show "I'm just a sweet transvestite... from transsexual... Transylvania... uh huh..."
