[Drama-Committee] It doesn,t rain, but it pours
Hi all I really wish I could be emailing you with happy news but I can't. There has been a mix up with the Helix, basically the dates I had originally been green lighted for (13th- 16th April) are now no longer available, which puts us in an uncomfortable position. We have 2 options 1. take 5 days at a rate of €3750 which is a cheaper rate then we were quoted previously ( a sign of good will) the snag is the dates, the 22nd to the 26th of March, which in student terms is Week 7,reading week. 2.or take a 3 day run (30th March to the 1st April) but that would involve getting in and shows and really isnt feasible so really we have one option, putting our biggest performance of the year on, on the quietest week in the DCU calender..... anyone else feel like crying i know I do I have asked about week 11 and even week 12 and there so no availability. Let me know if anyone has any ideas or suggestions

Run with week Seven It cant be helped! This also means that classes won't get in the way and people can prioritise just assignments over the week instead of classes and assignments. What do other people think? puts

Heyup y'all, I've seen the auditions page and 'tis grand, will do nicely. I'm getting the weekly announce drama emails, and the one you sent out is just the job. I'm still at work, so haven't had the chance to write my battleplan - watch this space (stupid work, stupid job, stupid money. Wait, scratch that last one...) You're right to try to get the Helix deal signed off ASAP, cos like I said, they're cunts and I wouldn't trust a handshake agreement from any of them. Once you get it on paper, push like hell to get the show on the website and in the brochure. There were a lot of sales for Fame through the website, so don't underestimate the power of internet sales. Don't let them tell you that they can't put it up on the website - they are lazy as hell for stuff like that. Try to get it included on their posters for events for 2009 - again, don't let them tell you that they can't do it. Be charming as fuck, but determined. *sees boss coming* gaaah, back to work. Hugs Bob 2008/12/4 Gerard Collis <gerard.collis@gmail.com>
