Clubs and Socs Fair
You're probably aware that this week the clubs and socs fair is going on.
You can find our stand in the sports hall, so sign up to be put on the new
mailing list! We'll be on the Glasnevin until 4pm today, and from 10am
until 4pm tomorrow and Wednesday. We'll also be on St Patrick's campus from
10am until 4pm on Wednesday, so don't worry if you're not around Glasnevin.
Drag some friends along and induct them into our wonderful society.
The Clockwork Door
Next week we're going to have some trad in the city. On October 5th, we'll
be going to The Clockwork Door, Temple Bar, from 6-8pm. It costs 1 euro per
member, but places are limited so sign up in the sports centre as soon as
you can! The Clockwork Door is a spacious, comfortable venue in Dublin,
with a vast selection of board games and free refreshments. It'll be a
great time!
Trad Gaming
We return to our usually schedule of tradical fun today, from 6-10pm in
XG01, and on Wednesday from 5-10pm in the same room. We'll have all the
usual games and all the usual banter, so don't miss out!
Console Gaming
A 20 euro GameStop voucher is up for grabs this Wednesday, for those who
partake in the first console tournament of the year. Mario Kart 8 is the
game, a 2 euro entry fee applies, and the winner also gets King of Gamessoc
points. We'll have our usual consoles there too for some less (or more)
competitive gaming. We'll be in XG01 from 2-5pm, with tournament signups
starting at 2pm.

Hey guys, there's been a room change for the Club Penguin Apocalypse
Party, it's now on in LG26 (the computer building). It's already begun, so

===Intercultural Games Night===
This Tuesday we'll also be hosting the first of our Interculutral Games
Nights from 7pm-9pm! This week is Spanish night, so we'll have a bunch of
trad games that have an emphasis on verbal communication down in the
Languaculture Space in the Henry Grattan. (located beside the back
entrance into the building) It'll be good, wholesome Spanish fun.
===Wednesday===
Console Gaming as normal in XG01 from 1pm-5pm. Trad will take place for a
short while at 5pm, but we'll finish early for another event...
Disney Soc and GamesSoc are teaming up to host a pub quiz in the Slipper
at 7pm. 10 per table, with 2-4 players per team. There'll be lots of
questions and spot prizes, a raffle on the night, and if you don't win
anything there's still alcohol. And the company of your friends. Again, do
the facebook thing:

Hey everyone so Humans vs. Zombies is finally kicking off so we've planned
the whole week around it to celebrate. Zombie board games, console games
and much more to satisfy your hunger for human flesh.
====Humans vs Zombies====
The hunt begins at 12pm tomorrow where the original zombie will be
released into the wild. He/She will be invisible for the first hour or
until they get five kills. If your still thinking about signing up you
have until 1pm. You can sign up for free at games.dcu.ie/hvz. If you still
haven't got an orange band you can collect one from us in the hub from
9am-2pm tomorrow. We also have some nerf guns available to rent for 5 for
the week with 10 bullets. These are available from 12pm and it is first
come first served. There will be a donation box at our stall in the hub
for donations and you can donate by PayPal through the HvZ website. As an
added bonus there will be King of GamesSoc points available during the
week for special achievements.
====Missions====
The Humans vs. Zombies missions will take place on Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday, all starting at 6:30pm. Monday's mission is the all too familiar
Saving Private Toasty, Tuesday's mission is a scavenger hunt and
Thursday's mission is an Evacuation mission. Full details of these can be
found on the HvZ website.

Wednesday in XG01. Wednesday will be a zombie themed night with great
games like Dead of Winter, Zombie Flux, Betrayal and many more.

the next round. Entry fees are 2 and all proceeds will go to Child's

======================================================================
Hi all, Seamus here. Over the last few weeks I have been asking around
about interest in Dungeons & Dragons. There seems to be enough interest to
begin planning, so I'm going to start taking names and I'll put together
something over the next week or so.
If you are in any way interested in D&D, be it playing, DMing, or even a
casual interest, please do get in contact. I can be found at
seamus.foley24(a)mail.dcu.ie, or you can send me a message on Facebook.
Here is a rough framework of details you may want to know:
Players: Absolutely all are welcome, there is no minimum
requirement. All ranges of experience with D&D/RPGs are welcome.
We will probably be using Fifth edition D&D, as it is the system
I am most familiar with, and the easiest to learn. It is my intention to do
some warm up sessions to familiarize players with the rules and the
system before we launch into any specific campaigns.
I am willing to DM at least one game, but others are welcome to DM games
if they wish.
There is no plan as yet with regards game times, as this will
largely depend on the availability of those involved.
I hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks,
Seamus Foley
