Our Christmas Ball is happening this Monday in conjunction with LGBT, Snowboarding and Music Soc. It.s going to be a great night full of Christmas cheer. So come along and eat, drink and merry. We will be kicking off the night at 7pm in the New Bar with some mulled wine and mince pies. Followed shortly by some lively entertainment. Guaranteed to be a night to remember so I really hope you come along. Proceeds from the night are going to each Society/Clubs charity of choice. So that means you get free food and drink, more fun than you can shake a stick at and maybe even a pressie too if your lucky, and the warm fuzzy feeling that you get when you give to charity. Reminder: Table Quiz

Folks, A quick reminder that the RedBrick Table Quiz is on this Wednesday the 14th at 8pm in the old bar in DCU. It will cost EUR16 per table, with a maximum of 4 people to a table. - First prize: A portable TV for each member of the winning team. - Second prize: A DVD player for each member of the second-placed team. - Third prize: A webcam for each member of the third-placed team. There will of course be a raffle and tons of spot prizes to be given out on the night, including a digital camera donated by Pixels. The mother of all table quizzes returns next week, Wednesday April 14th at 8pm in the old bar in DCU. Yes, 8 rounds of painfully hard questions are yours to endure once more with feeling in DCU's premier smoke-free drinking venue. It will cost EU16 per table, with a maximum of 4 people to a table. Web Services Moving

Hello everyone, Web services will shortly be moving to our wonderful new poweredge server deathray. As such I want to mention a few things. First vhost owners: ------------------- Bad news: That time has come again when you need to update your dns entries. Good news: This will be the last time you need to do it. The new ip address to set your domain name to resolve to is 136.206.15.61 Tomcat users: ------------- Tomcat has been upgraded to version 5. If anyone notices any missing dependencies or things generally not working let me know. If there are any other problems you notice let me know so I can fix them as quickly as possible. Guest speaker, Dermot Duffy (dizer), who has been a Redbrick admin for the past two years, gives a tutorial on Perl basics and using Perl on Redbrick.
