[Drama-committee] Miscellaneous Dogsbodies Needed

There are flyers in the cubby hole that need cut (guillotine available from SU reception). I'm just about to drop in the remaining A3 posters, plus one A4 poster. Photocopy these (the original is black and white anyway) and put them up anywhere except Henry Grattan. I need people to set up a stand (i.e. table, with posters behind) to sell tickets between 12 and 2. I have 25 student tickets and 10 adult tickets for each night - just drop into the Hub (via the Stage Door) to collect them from me. Everyone, I know, is going to the workshops tonight (but don't call them workshops), so I need a word of mouth/blackmailing campaign among the people there to bring them to 'Lovers' once the workshops are over. Just for the record, the posters say 8pm, but we're not starting 'til 8:30 - no worries. Mobile is on, & I'm in the Space. Christopher

Congrats to Paul May!!!!!!!yay, we knew you'd do it! okay here are the minutes, unfinished coz i left at 7. will someone please fill in productions adn antigone trip and A.O.B. thanks oh yeah, by the by, while i'm at it, i'm not sure bout anyone else on committe, but between college, assignments, video, studio adn then wrok, i'm really up to my eyes, so would it suit to jsut extend our meeting on monday or monday next to the hub for our drinks to decide the DADA's nominees, instead of moving somewhere or organising to meep up another night. coz Monday evening suits us all yeah? whatcha think?

[Drama-committee] set removal, missing items, promo

Hi all Just a couple of things I need help with. We have finally got perminant storage for our big heavy sets thanks to our equipments officer Dave but I need bodies to help move it over the next couple of days. We are keeping it all in various different location around the hub at the moment and we need it all brought to a central point ready to move out first thing sat morning. Stocks are holding Silicon in the Hub this weekend which means that we are going to be disturbing them by moving our set out on Sat. morning but sadly there can be no other solution, they need all the space in the venue they can get and we're taking up alot of it and its a fire hazard. I need all of drama's belongings brought up from downstairs in the venue to the balcony so that stocks can set up tomorrow and I need bodies in the venue to help me do this at 10am tomorrow. It shouldn't take too long if everyone gives a hand. Secondly we need bodies on saturday to help load the truck. The silicon event starts at 10am sat so we'd be looking to get out of there before then if we can. We also need people to go with Jenny to Skerries to help unload the truck ( yeah jenny, I have you going to skerries ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MISSING ITEMS: Well done to Paul May our web master in getting su Pres It was some night last night but someone picked up the wrong denim jacket when leaving my house last night and one of the guys I live with is shivering all day today as a result so if someone has the wrong jacket could they please drop it into the clubs and socs office with a note attached, thanks. The after show party was mental too but someone apparently went home with an extra pair of shoes so if someone has a pair of shoes that they didnt have before could they also return them in a bag to the clubs and socs office for the attention of Drama, poor Threasa cant go out in her slippers! There's also the matter of a missing phone, a black nokia i think? Same as above. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We need promoters! We have secured very last minute, as you know from the last mail, a couple of days in the Helix next week. We need people to hand out flyers and stick up posters. I'm in the venue all morning tomorrow and anyone who has a half hour to spare at any stage tomorrow please pop in and pick up a few posters to stuck up around the place. To maintain a good relationship with the helix we need to have support for the shows going in there which means bums on seats! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- See you all tomorrow, Elaine

[Drama-committee] FW: Lovers by Brian Friel - The Space 6th-7th-8th April

Nick Reed, when he talked to me, was very responsive. The terms are listed below. If we get a big push behind this, following on from the musical, I think it could really be worth our while doing it. I'm making out the grant app. for the SPC now - even if we could get the price of the rights (€120) and posters (€45-60), that would be our costs covered. Set is: 2 stools from the New Bar and a bench borrowed from campus). Costumes are school uniforms, Props are books, little or no cost involved. If we can print simple black & white programmes and flyers through Clubs & Socs, we ought to be fine. Paul and Louise are putting the poster together and Martin d'French said that he would design lighting if nobody else turned up (they haven't). In any case, it's very simple - it would just be reassuring to be able to go into the Helix on Tuesday morning with a relatively clear idea in mind of what we want the lighting guys to do. The main problem with this production is the little time we have to promote it and the possible fatigue of the Musical. I will need peoples to put up posters, hand out flyers and preferably, sell tickets next week. It goes without saying that everyone has to drag a doze of people along to this production more than any other. Because it's mine. Nick is aware that I can't yet commit to anything until a committee decision has been made on this. It would be preferable if we could have a blitz meeting today or as early as possible tomorrow but I don't know if that's convenient. Any replies on the matter via email would of course be very welcome in the meantime. Christopher Samuel Carroll
