It rhymes!
So, this week we actually have our first tournament of the semester
(accidentally left something in the email last week, but oh well!),
and it'll be in PC gaming, see below for more!
--Trad Gaming: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG01, Wed 6pm - 10pm XG01--
--PC Gaming: Tues 6pm - 10pm, Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--PC Gaming Tournament: Team Fortress 2: Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--Console Gaming 2pm - 6pm XG14--
--Trad Gaming--
Trad Gaming is in XG01 this week on both Monday and Wednesday! We'll
have all the usual games that everyone loves like Bang! and maybe a
game or two of Werewolves.
--PC Gaming Tournament--
We'll be playing Team Fortress 2 this week in PC Gaming. It'll be
teams of 4, and signups will be from 6:30pm, with the tournament
starting at 7.
Don't have a team? Don't worry, you can make one when you're there! If
you don't feel like playing TF2, you can play any game you want!
--Console Gaming--
As always we'll have our usual PS3s, Xbox 360s, Wii and Wii U set up
in XG14, so come along and have some fun.
Have fun everyone,
Niall Gaffney
Hey everybody!
Sorry this is so late in the evening, but anyway!
I hope you all had a good Christmas break and that your exams went
well!
This week, we have all of our usual events, including a tournament in
Console Gaming!
--Trad Gaming: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG14, Wed 6pm - 10pm XG14--
--PC Gaming: Tues 6pm - 10pm, Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--Console Gaming 2pm - 6pm XG14--
--Trad Gaming--
Trad Gaming returns for the first week in XG14 on both Monday and
Wednesday! Our Trad Officers, Rob and Fionn, will be sure to provide
lots of entertainment for all of you! Come along for your usual
tabletop fun.
--PC Gaming--
This Tuesday sees the return of PC Gaming after the Christmas break,
with plenty of games on the GamesSoc Steam accounts, you're sure to
find something fun to do in C204 from 6pm on Tuesday and Thursday of
this week.
--Console Gaming--
Console Gaming comes back on Wednesday before Trad Gaming this week,
and it's in the same room, so you can have a solid 8 hours of gaming
without leaving the room! That's quite a long time and you should
probably get some fresh air.
Anyway, we'll have the usual Xbox 360s, PS3s, Wii and WiiU set up, so
come along and play your favourite games!
Again, welcome back to all of you, and hopefully we'll see you all at
our events.
Good luck,
Niall Gaffney

Evening all!
Things are all winding down, but we'll still have all of our events
including a Console Gaming Tournament this week!
--Trad Gaming: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG01, Wed 6pm - 10pm XG14--
--PC Gaming: Tues 6pm - 10pm, Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--Console Gaming Tournament: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale 2pm -
6pm XG15--
--Trad Gaming--
It's gotten to the point where I've really got nothing left to say, so
I'm just going to leave it at this:
wow
such tables
many games
amaze
--PC Gaming--
Seriously, I have nothing to say. This week is just a standard week.
Games are games, and they'll be played.
--Console Gaming Tournament-
The only thing happening this week! Yay! There'll be a Playstation
All-Stars Battle Royale tournament in the usual spot. It'll start at
3pm and signups will be taken beforehand. You can sign up for €2. May
the most OP character win!
Finally, good luck to everyone with any assignments, exams, and
whatnot. Hope you all have a good Christmas holiday, and we'll see you
after!

Evening everybody,
We're down to the second last week of the semester, assignments are
piling up, exams are inching ever closer, but why study when you can
play games?
--Trad Gaming: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG01, Wed 6pm - 10pm, XG14--
--PC Gaming Tournament: Warsow: Tues 6pm - 10pm, C204--
--Console Gaming: Wed 2pm - 6pm, XG15--
--Christmas Party: Thurs 7pm - some time after 7pm, Matt Wheldon's--
--Trad Gaming--
Same bat times, same bat places. Come on down and play board games, or
Magic: The Gathering, or Werewolves, or whatever else you might want,
because that seems to be what happens.
--PC Gaming Tournament: Warsow--
PC Gaming is only on Tuesday this week, due to the Christmas Party on
Thursday, but never fear, because we have one of the most fun
tournaments of the year! Warsow! If you haven't played Warsow, it's
basically Quake but nice looking.
As usual, signups will be taken from 6pm and the tournament will start
at 7pm. If the fast-paced crazy shooter with trick jumps doesn't
tickle your fancy, you can play something like Christmas-themed
Killing Floor, because what's scarier than Christmas-style specimens?
--Console Gaming--
Console gaming is, once again, in XG15 on Wednesday. We'll have the
usual consoles set up, so call down and take a break after your
lectures and stuff.
--Christmas Party--
Ourselves, Redbrick, Anime & Manga Society, Circus Arts, and Airsoft
are all going to Matt Wheldon's this Thursday for our intersociety
Christmas Party! There'll be some food, many drinks, such celebrate,
wow.
I am so sorry.
Seriously though, there might also be some presents from Santa,
because who doesn't love presents?
So regards,
Niall Gaffney

Evening everybody,
Apologies for the lateness of this, but it's gone out at a reasonable
hour, so it's fine!
--Trad Gaming: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG01, Wed 6pm - 10pm XG14--
--Pathfinder Society Character Creation Workshop--
--PC Gaming: Tues 6pm - 10pm, Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--Console Gaming Tournament: Mario Kart Wii: Wed 2pm - 6pm XG15--
--Trad Gaming--
Same bat times, same bat places. Trad gaming is in XG01 on Monday and
XG14 on Wednesday. Go along and steal Rob's hat, because it's funny.
--Pathfinder Society Character Creation Workshop--
Our Treasurer, Kilian, is running a Pathfinder Character Creation
Workshop on Wednesday during Trad Gaming. It'll start at 6:30pm and
shouldn't take more than an hour at the very most. If you're new to
PFS, but want to start, Kilian will explain everything on the day, so
no prior experience is necessary.
--PC Gaming--
After a huge Age of Empires 2 Tournament last week, PC Gaming is back
to normal, with plenty of the usual games like Barkley Shut Up and
Jam: Gaiden! Seriously though, play what you want. It'll be fun,
promise.
--Console Gaming--
Don't you love Mario Kart? Especially that one track with the
rainbows? Then you'll love this week's tournament! Mario Kart is gonna
be the game! Have fun blowing each other up. As usual, signups will be
€2, and will be taken until 3pm.

Hey all,
We're getting close to the end of the semester. CAN YOU FEEL THE
PRESSURE YET? I BET YOU CAN! So why not wind down with some games?
--Trad Gaming & MTG Draft Tournament: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG01, Wed 6pm -
10pm XG14--
--PC Gaming: Tues 6pm - 10pm, Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--PC Gaming Tournament: Age of Empires 2: Tues 6pm - 10pm C204--
--Console Gaming: Wed 2pm - 6pm X146--
--Hoodies--
--Trad Gaming--
This week's Trad Gaming sessions will take place in the usual spots at
the usual times. The Trad Officers will be running our Magic the
Gathering Draft Tournament on Monday, and there still are a few more
spots open for it if you're interested in playing! It's €10 to enter,
and please bring your own lands if you have any.
If you have any questions, you can email the committee or else post on
the Facebook page.
--PC Gaming Tournament: AoE2--
This Tuesday, Padraig will be running an Age of Empires 2
tournament. Come on up to C204 to hear such classic lines as "All
hail, king of the losers!", "Food please", "Quit touching me", and
"WOLOLO". Signups will be taken from 6pm and the tournament will start
at 6:30pm.
If you don't have any interest in AoE2, you can play whatever you
really feel like.
--Console Gaming--
Console Gaming continues its stint in X146 due to XG16 still being in
use at that time. For those who aren't familiar with consoles by this
stage, we'll be setting up our consoles as usual, with 2 Xbox 360s, 2
PS3s, a Wii, and a Wii U.
--Hoodies--
We're going to put in the hoodie order on Wednesday this week, so you
can still pay until then. It's €25 for a hoodie, and the link to all
the colours is below. You can also pay €15 now and €10 on receipt of
the hoodie.

Yo,
We're well over halfway through the semester. Scary, isn't it?
--Trad Gaming: Mon 6pm - 10pm XG01, Wed 6pm - 10pm XG14--
--PC Gaming: Tues 6pm - 10pm, Thurs 6pm - 10pm C204--
--Console Gaming Tournament: Blur: 2pm - 6pm X146--
--Hoodies--
--Magic the Gathering Draft--
--Trad Gaming--
Trad Gaming is back this week as usual in XG01 and XG14 on Monday and
Wednesday respectively, and we've got a trophy to hand out for Love
Letter this week. You'll all be told what you've gotta do when you get
there on Wednesday!
--PC Gaming--
Padraig's having a bit of a laugh this week with two more trophies to
give out. The first, on Tuesday, will be "The Most Loveliest Trophy"
for the person who builds what he deems the nicest house in Minecraft.
The second is "Zombie Daredevil", but what is it for? You'll have to
come to C204 and find out on Thursday!
--Console Gaming Tournament--
We're changing places to X146 this week, with another tournament in
Console Gaming this week with Blur! The fast-paced racing game that's
been described as "Mario Kart on steroids", because that's pretty much
what it is. The prize will be the usual €20 voucher for GameStop, as
well as a trophy to bring you that much closer to being crowned the
King of GamesSoc.
As always with these things, the tournament will cost €2 to enter, and
signups will be taken until 3pm.
--Hoodies--
This is the last week we'll be taking money for the hoodie order, so
make sure you get your €25 to someone on the committee with your name
and choice of colour by the end of the week. For the full list of
colours and approximate size of the hoodies, please look here:
http://games.dcu.ie/forums/index.php?topic=3408.0
--Magic the Gathering Draft--
Our MTG draft tournament will be held in week 9, and there are still
spaces left! If you want to sign up, it costs €10 to put your name
down. If you want to take part, please give your name and money to a
committee member at Trad Gaming this week.
That's all folks!

out wrong.)

Anyone who hasn't received their armband can get it at our table in
The Hub on Monday from 10am - 2pm. The Original Zombies have been
chosen, so you'll have to be extra careful tomorrow about who you
trust!
The game itself will be starting at noon on Monday, so make sure to
come
to the hub early, in case you get trapped!
You can find out more details here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/386275978172697

This Thursday is our first PC Gaming Tournament! We'll be playing
Worms to kick things off! Signups will be €2, and the tournament will
start at 7pm.
--Minecraft Server Launch--
The committee would once more like to apologise for the sudden
postponement of the Minecraft Server Launch last week. Things were
beyond our control, and sadly, there was nothing we could do about it.
However, it'll happen this week! Come on over to C204 on Tuesday to
blow the old map to hell and then explore the new map! The trophy from
last week will carry over to this week, so don't worry!
--Trad Gaming--
Once again we'll have our usual Trad Gaming sessions this week. Come
on down to XG01 on Monday and XG14 on Wednesday to play some games.
--Console Gaming--
After the recent run of tournaments, Console Gaming returns to normal
this week! As always, we'll have out Xbox 360s, PS3s, Wii and WiiU set

can sign up any time between now and then, but make sure to get your
money in early!
To sign up, give your name and money to a committee member at Trad
Gaming.
--Hoodies--

of next week. They're €25, and you must pay in advance of the order
being placed. You can give your money to any of the committee members
at any of our events over the next two weeks.

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to announce that Padraig has just informed me that lab
gaming and the Minecraft 1.7 launch tonight has been canceled. We are
aware that it's late notice we were given no warning by ISS, and they
are locking up the room tonight. Thankfully, we noticed it early, as
it could have been a nasty moment if we had walked into the room this
evening.
The positive side of this story is that the lab machines will now all
be ready for next week. Lab gaming will officially launch next Tuesday
12th November. It will then be running on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
6-10 in C204.
The new, up-to-date Minecraft server will also be launching on
Tuesday. More updates on that to come.
Once again I apologize for the late notice on tonight. However, it is
unavoidable.
Thanks for your understanding.
Regards,
Niall Gaffney
